If a product is no longer sold or ordered, deactivate it. It will disappear from the active warehouse status and product directory, but remain in document history.
When you can deactivate a product
Check the product quantity at all warehouses. If it is positive or negative, first find out why and bring the quantity to zero. A product that already has warehouse documents cannot be removed from the accounting history: the program hides it from active lists.
How to deactivate one product
- Open Склад - Стан складу (Warehouse - Warehouse status).
- In the filter, select products with zero and negative quantities. Find the product and check its quantity.
- Select the product and click Видалити товар (Delete product).
The product will then appear under Товарознавство - Видалений товар (Product management - Deleted product). The program will save the deactivation date; the product will no longer appear in the warehouse status for a later date.
How to check several discontinued products
Open Товарознавство - Діагностика помилок - Видалення товарів (Product management - Error diagnostics - Product deletion). Specify the number of months without movement: the program will show products with zero quantity that meet the condition. Review the list before using Видалити товар (Delete product).
How to restore a product
Open Товарознавство - Видалений товар (Product management - Deleted product), find the item by name or barcode, and click Відновити (Restore). The product will be available in the working lists again.
