Workstation requirements
List the tasks performed at the checkout and in the stockroom: scanning products, printing labels and receipts, and taking inventory. These determine the number of devices, how they connect, and the label format. If you have several workstations, also check where prices will be printed and how staff will move products.
Testing the setup
When choosing equipment, check for current drivers, supported code types and media, and whether it can be configured in your version of Torgsoft. After connecting it, print a label, scan it at the checkout, and perform a test stock operation. The specific models shown in the 2019 video are historical examples, not a current compatibility catalogue.
