Products and delivery
At the start, define inventory centers, create product types, and check the attributes needed for searches and reports. Enter products already in the store as opening stock; record a new delivery with a supplier invoice. For products sold by size, check the models, each size, and its barcode. Before distributing products among stores, verify the quantities, prices, and the inventory center from which the products are being transferred.
Sales and totals
After receiving the goods into inventory, prepare labels and check the scanner and receipt printing at the actual workstation. Record sales, returns, and cash handovers using the corresponding operations, and reconcile them with the cash register and stock balances. Test a few products to check that the seller can see the required items and prices. This 2014 webinar explains the sequence for starting inventory management, but equipment models and program screens have changed since then.
