This video is from 2018. The program’s design has changed considerably, and it has gained more features. However, how many modes work has stayed the same or very similar. We are updating the knowledge base and video lessons. Since 2022, videos have been in Ukrainian only.
How remote accounting works
A terminal license hosts the Torgsoft database on a server. Employees connect to it from their workstations, so the owner can see shared stock levels, sales, and movement of goods between stores. Each workstation needs a client connection, and user permissions determine access to program modes. Before launching the network, check the number of connections, connection stability, server settings, and retail equipment at each location.
What to do without internet
If a checkout works with a database on a remote server, losing the connection interrupts the regular connection. The Torgsoft-Hybrid add-on allows sales to be processed locally, then sends the accumulated transactions to the server once the connection is restored. Check support for the bank terminal, scales, fiscal registrar, or software cash register (pRRO) in this mode separately: the relevant add-ons may be required. Before use, make a test sale without internet and verify synchronization after the connection returns.
Data protection and moving to a server
The database needs regular backups and checks that it can be restored. A separate add-on is available for a cloud archive. If you are moving from a local database to a terminal license or merging databases from several stores, first save copies, agree on the transfer of directories and documents, and check the result with a test connection. The 2018 video shows the screens, terms, and setup timelines of that time; check current requirements in up-to-date materials.
