This video is from 2013. The program’s design has changed considerably, and it has gained more features. However, the way many modes work has stayed the same or changed very little. We are updating the knowledge base and video lessons. Since 2022, videos have been in Ukrainian only.
What this mode is for
You can give a VIP customer goods with deferred or partial payment. Torgsoft records the sale, payments received, and outstanding debt so the store can see the current settlement balance. Before a sale, the employee selects the customer or scans their card; subsequent payments are assigned to that customer.
Choosing an accounting method
In the VIP customer settings, choose a payment accounting method. The goods-and-money balance shows the total debt without linking a payment to a specific sale. Linking payments to sales lets you see unpaid sales. Partial payment with an itemized breakdown shows how much has been paid for each item and the remaining debt. Choose a method before you start tracking customer debts, because it determines the level of detail available for monitoring.
Payment and checking the balance
When accepting a payment, find the customer and check the sale amount, previous payments, and outstanding balance. If partial payment with an itemized breakdown is selected, you can mark the items the customer is paying for now in the payment form. A customer advance can be used for a later purchase if this option is enabled in the settings. Check the total balance in the “Balance with Partners” mode, and unpaid sales in the corresponding list. When goods are returned, first check whether the item was paid for so the settlement can be recorded correctly.
