Receiving and selling
For items that need to be tracked individually, use serial number tracking. When receiving goods, register the number of each unit with a scanner or manually, and check it against the label. When selling, select the exact unit you are handing over to the customer. Sales and warranty details help you print a warranty card and later determine when and to whom a specific item was sold.
Customer claim
You can use the serial number to find the sale and check the warranty period, and the receipt document to identify the supplier. Record a return or transfer of goods to the supplier with the appropriate document so that the movement of that unit remains traceable. The 2013 video shows old forms; check the current settings and document set in the description of warranty item tracking.
