Automation of children's clothing production: over 13 years of accounting in Torgsoft
A Ukrainian manufacturer of clothing for newborns manages the full cycle in one program: sewing workshop, finished goods warehouse, wholesale shipments, retail sales and three online channels. The story began with warehouse accounting and gradually grew into a terminal license that at one stage included 19 workplaces. The case study is based on real experience of long-term Torgsoft use. We preserved the logic of the business decisions without disclosing client information.
How it all started
In 2012, the program handled the basic tasks of a small manufacturer: warehouse accounting, wholesale settlements with partner stores, and database transfer to another laptop by the support team. Even then, the owner formulated the requirement that defined the entire later story: production and sales are one whole, so accounting must also be kept in one program.
In 2013, the business moved to a Torgsoft Terminal license with the database on a server and five workplaces, and connected the production accounting option. Since then, bills of materials, finished goods release acts and sales have been managed in Torgsoft, while each next growth stage added new workplaces and options.

Start of cooperation
The first records in the service history: supplies, technical support packages, database transfer to another laptop. Trade accounting is already working, while production is preparing for automation.
Terminal license and production accounting
Torgsoft Terminal license for 5 workplaces with the database on a server. The Production: accounting of materials and finished goods option was connected: bills of materials with material consumption, finished goods release acts. Specialists advise how to correctly specify consumption in the bill of materials and how to speed up production modes.
Going online and staff payroll
The Synchronization with online store and Payroll and staff motivation options were connected. The network expands to 7 workplaces.
Scaling and business-specific improvements
The number of workplaces grows from 9 to 15. Bulk mailings to clients | 1-year license and Client profile and Binotel calls | 1-year license were connected. During this period, eight technical specifications for program improvements were sent to the client based on her descriptions of working scenarios.
Data protection, logistics and banking
Cloud data archive | 1-year license, Nova Poshta integration | 1-year license and Bank statements | 1-year license were connected. A service maintenance agreement for 8 or more workplaces is in effect.
Fiscalization and expansion to 19 workplaces
Integration with fiscal registrar | 1-year license and Software cash register | 1-year license were connected. In 2021, a configuration with 19 workplaces was recorded, and Rozetka.ua integration | 1-year license was also connected.
Three online channels
Prom.ua integration | 1-year license was connected. Separate synchronization objects were configured for the production department and managers, each with its own list of goods and orders.
Current development
Working time accounting with employee barcodes is configured. A request for a new accounting option is registered in the development plan. The program has been updated to version 2026.0.4, and support for synchronization with online channels continues in working mode.
The principles by which the system developed
Six management decisions repeat in this story year after year. Each of them is a practice that can be transferred to your own business.
Production and sales are one chain
Since 2013, bills of materials, finished goods release acts and sales have been managed in one program. Cost and balances of materials and finished goods are available in accounting modes alongside invoices and shipments.
Workplaces according to actual growth
The license expanded gradually: 5 workplaces in 2013, 7 in 2014, 15 in 2017, 19 in 2021. Each step was a separate order for a specific need.
Requests instead of workarounds
During the cooperation period, the service history recorded 67 suggestions for program development and nine technical specification category records. Requests are registered under numbers and considered for inclusion in future releases.
Sales channels added consistently
The own online store was synchronized in 2014, Rozetka was connected in 2020, and Prom — in 2024. For each new channel, a separate synchronization object was configured on already organized product data.
Fiscalization in advance
The fiscal registrar was connected in 2020, and the software cash register — at the beginning of 2021. Software cash register analytics are used in reports.
Data under protection
The cloud archive was connected in 2018, service maintenance agreements have been signed annually since 2018, and the program is updated to current versions. User access is separated by roles.

Transparent service accounting
Each request is recorded with a description of completed work and the time deducted from the minute balance. A report on services provided for each working day is sent by email.
Service format
Service maintenance agreements have been signed annually since 2018, and technical support packages replenish the minute balance. Specialists work through remote connections to workplaces.
Working scenarios become updates
Practical remarks from the client are registered under numbers and included in releases: the request regarding synchronization with Prom.ua was taken into account in update 2026.0.2, and in summer 2026 the program was updated to version 2026.0.4.
Fine-tuning business processes
The bill of materials records materials and consumption for the product, the release act posts finished goods to the warehouse, and sales write them off from balances. Cost is calculated in the program and available in analytics alongside sale prices.
Separate synchronization objects are created for the own online store, Prom and Rozetka. Product files with categories, characteristics and photos are generated from product card data in the program, while orders are loaded into Torgsoft and processed by managers.
The production department and sales managers work with separate synchronization objects and their own product lists. User roles determine which modes are available to each employee.
Nova Poshta integration generates shipping waybills from order data. Shipment data is stored in the program next to the invoice and client.
The software cash register and fiscal registrar work from the program checkout. Fiscal operation analytics are available in reports, and receipts are generated at the moment of sale.
The database is located on the terminal license server. Workplaces, including managers' laptops, connect through remote desktop and RemoteApp — the employee sees only the program window.
Database backups are stored according to the regulations — in the cloud archive and on separate media. Access is separated by user roles, and updates are installed by specialists within the service agreement with a program operation check after each package.

The accounting program for sewing production in this case covers the full cycle: from the bill of materials to the fiscal receipt. The model is repeated for manufacturers of clothing, footwear, accessories, home textiles and other own-made goods sold wholesale, retail and through online channels.
Sewing production accounting here is not a separate system, but part of the overall inventory accounting: finished goods are immediately available for invoices, retail sales and export to marketplaces. In this case, the configuration grew from five workplaces to nineteen within the same program.
