The work of ECR offline in Torgsoft: time limits, number range and synchronization

If Torgsoft has no connection to the fiscal server, the software ECR (sECR) can operate in offline mode. Offline mode is limited by time (36/168 hours) and the availability of a reserved range of fiscal numbers; after the connection is restored, a synchronization (batch submission) must be performed.

These instructions contain actions that affect the operation of the software ECR, offline sessions, and the transmission of fiscal documents to the State Tax Service (STS). Therefore, they should only be performed by a user who understands the consequences of changing checkout settings. Any manual deletion of offline batches, modification of offline mode parameters, or re-sending of documents is done at your own responsibility and, in case of an error, may lead to fiscalization blocking, loss of data, or the need for additional sECR recovery. Before starting, be sure to create an up-to-date backup of the database and ensure you understand which documents and settings you are changing. If at any stage there are doubts about the cause of the failure or the consequences of the described actions, do not proceed independently and contact technical support specialists.

When the sECR goes offline

  • Internet connection lost at the point of sale (provider/power outage/router).

  • No response from the fiscal server (timeouts/access failures).

  • The program has switched to offline or blocked receipt creation.

How to understand why offline mode is not working

  • sECR Status: offline.

  • Receipts are marked [offline].

  • Error regarding exceeding the continuous offline session time.

  • Error: offline is prohibited for this sECR (by registration).

  • Error: no fiscal numbers in the range.

  • Offline receipts are "stuck" and not sent after the internet appears.

Reasons

  1. No connection to the fiscal server (internet/routing/temporary unavailability).

  2. The range of fiscal numbers for offline mode has run out: without it, a receipt cannot be created offline.

  3. Offline time limit reached:

  • 36 hours — continuously;
  • 168 hours — total per calendar month.
  1. Offline mode was not allowed during sECR registration (the right to work offline is not enabled in the 1-PRRO form).

  2. First launch/opening of the shift is performed without internet (online status is required to receive/update the range).

Solution: What to do

1. "Offline Prohibited" Error

  • What it means: this sECR is registered without the right to work offline.

  • What to do: an internet connection and correct registration are required (1-PRRO with the offline attribute). Without this, the sECR will not work offline.

2. "Offline Session Time Exceeded", but internet is available

Sometimes the block is caused by an internal limit in Torgsoft settings rather than the actual regulatory limit on the server.

  1. Open Settings → Parameters → Software ECR.

  2. Parameter "Maximum number of continuous offline session hours" — increase temporarily.

  3. Click "Go Online" or repeat the operation.

On the first day of the next month, in the Settings - Parameters - "Software ECR" tab, in the "Maximum number of offline session hours per month" field, return the value to 168 hours! Important: this is a technical unblocking within Torgsoft; it does not change the requirements and restrictions on the part of the fiscal server.

3. Range of Numbers Depleted (Critical)

  • What will happen: without numbers, the sECR will not generate an offline receipt, regardless of "how much time is left."

  • What to do: provide internet at least for a short time (e.g., mobile hotspot) Settings → Software ECR → "Go Online" → the program will send accumulated documents and receive/update the range.

Every 10 minutes, if the sECR is in offline mode, a connection check with the fiscal server occurs. If the connection is restored, a data packet with a list of offline documents created during the offline session is transmitted, and the sECR switches to online mode.

4. Batch Not Sending After Connection Restored

  1. Perform "Go Online" manually.

  2. If there are validation errors (e.g., DocumentValidationError) and the batch does not go through — this is a case for tech support (manual correction/re-processing of problematic documents in online mode may be required).

How to verify that sECR is working online again

  • sECR Status: Online.

  • In the sECR log, documents have the status "Registered," and there is no "pending" queue.

  • After restoring the internet, offline receipts do not remain "stuck."

How to avoid problems with offline mode

  • Have a backup communication channel (LTE/different provider).

  • Ensure that offline mode is allowed during sECR registration.

  • Regularly monitor that the sECR can go online and send batches (to avoid reaching "0 numbers" in the range).

Summary

No internet → work offline as long as there is a range of numbers and time limits are not violated.
Numbers depleted → stop sales via sECR until online is restored.
Internet restored → synchronize immediately (button "Go Online").
