Mass price change: how to reprice an entire product or group without manual edits
The Torgsoft program provides several convenient tools for bulk price changes. The choice of method depends on your goal: whether you simply need to increase/decrease the price by a certain amount or percentage, or recalculate prices depending on the new exchange rate or markup percentage.
Here are the main ways to revalue all products or a specific group without manually editing each product card:
Method 1. Bulk change of the selling price by amount or percentage (the fastest method)

This method is used if you need to quickly raise or lower prices for a selected group of products (for example, increase all prices by 10% or by UAH 50).
-
Go to the main menu item Inventory -> Stock Status.
-
Filter the required product group. Click the Filters (F12) button and specify the necessary parameters (for example, a specific Manufacturer, Product Type, or Season). Only the required products will be displayed on the screen.
-
Select all products in the list using the Ctrl + A keyboard shortcut.
-
Click the Product Sale Conditions button (at the top of the form) and select Change Selling Price.
-
In the window that appears:
-
Select the action: Increase, Decrease, or Set.
-
Specify the unit of change: percentage or currency (UAH).
-
Enter the numeric value in the «by» field (for example, 10).
-
Specify which prices are being changed (Retail Price and/or Wholesale Price).
-
Choose the rounding rule (for example, to whole numbers, to 10 kopecks, etc.).
-
Click the Change Price button. The prices will be updated instantly.
Method 2. Revaluation by markup and exchange rate

This tool is ideal if you want to bulk set a single markup (for example, make the markup exactly 100% for an entire brand) or if the exchange rate has changed (for products that were received in US dollars or euros).
-
Go to the menu Inventory -> Calculation of Retail and Wholesale Prices by Markup and Exchange Rate.
-
Using Filters (F12), select a product group and highlight all filtered products in the table with the Ctrl + A keyboard shortcut.
-
If you need to change the markup: click the Change Retail Markup or Change Wholesale Markup button, select «Enter the retail or wholesale markup for the product», specify the required percentage (for example, 50), and click «Save».
-
If the exchange rate has changed: select the Calculation Method — «from purchase price» or «from equivalent price», and set the Exchange Rate (for example, «Today only»). Click Refresh (F5).
-
After the program calculates the new prices (they will be highlighted in green if the calculated price was increased relative to the current price, and in turquoise if the calculated price was decreased relative to the current price), click the Set Retail Price button (or Set Retail and Wholesale Price) so that the changes take effect.
Method 3. Revaluation via the «Revaluation Act» (controlled change)

If you want to prepare price changes in advance (for example, before a sale starts) and keep a history of who changed prices and when, use Revaluation Acts.
-
Go to Document -> Revaluation Act and create a new act (the Add button).
-
Add products to the revaluation act composition via the "Select Product from Stock (F11)" button. You can use multi-row selection from stock (enable Ctrl + X mode, select products with Shift or Ctrl, or select all products with the Ctrl + A keyboard shortcut and add them to the revaluation act).
-
Select the added products in the revaluation act and click Change New Selling Prices. As in the first method, you will be able to bulk increase, decrease, or set new prices.
-
When it is time to change prices in the store, simply select the required revaluation act and click the Apply Revaluation button.
Method 4. Bulk markup setting directly in the Goods Receipt Invoice
If you are just receiving goods from a supplier and want to immediately set the same markup for all items in the invoice:
-
In the open goods receipt invoice, select the required products (or all of them using Ctrl+A).
-
Click the Set Markup button.
-
Specify the retail or wholesale markup percentage and click «Save». The selling prices for the entire invoice will be recalculated automatically.
Bulk revaluation and price changes: frequently asked questions
Questions about bulk revaluation and price changes arise quite often. They can be divided into two categories: consultation questions (how to perform a certain action) and troubleshooting questions (when the program behaves differently from what the user expects).
I. Consultation questions in the format «How to do this?»
— To bulk revalue all products or change prices only for a certain group, you need to use the «Inventory» — «Stock Status» form. First, you can filter the required product group (for example, by supplier, manufacturer, or product type) using the filter window. When only those product items whose prices need to be changed remain on the screen, select the entire list using the Ctrl + A keyboard shortcut. After that, click the «Product Sale Conditions» button and select the «Change Selling Price» option.
In the «Stock Price Change Parameters» window that opens, you will be able to choose the required action: «Increase», «Decrease», or «Set» (if you need to reset all selected prices to one new value). Next, select the calculation unit — in currency (UAH) or in percentage — and enter the required numeric value in the field, for example, 50 or 1000. The program also allows you to specify which prices are being changed (retail or wholesale) and choose the rounding rule (for example, to whole numbers or to kopecks). After configuring all parameters, click the «Change Price» button, and the prices for the selected products will be updated instantly.
«How do I select a supplier or brand and bulk align a specified markup percentage for all its products?».
— To bulk align the markup for a specific supplier or brand, open the «Inventory» — «Calculation of Retail and Wholesale Prices by Markup and Exchange Rate» form and use the «Filters (F12)» button to select the required manufacturer or supplier. When the list of corresponding products appears on the screen, select them, click the «Change Retail Markup» or «Change Wholesale Markup» button, choose the «Enter retail markup for product» or «Enter wholesale markup for product» option accordingly, specify the desired percentage, and click «Save». The program will automatically calculate new prices for this group (such rows will be highlighted in turquoise), after which you will only need to click the «Set Retail Price» or «Set Wholesale Price» button, depending on which markup you worked with, so that the new markup and prices take effect immediately and update in stock status.
«Where do I change the exchange rate so that selling prices for all products are recalculated automatically?».
— To automatically recalculate selling prices due to an exchange rate change, you need to use the «Inventory» — «Calculation of Retail and Wholesale Prices by Markup and Exchange Rate» form. In this window, click the «Exchange Rate» button (or go via the «Payment» — «Exchange Rate» menu), create a new record specifying the current currency selling rate for today, and save it. After that, in the calculation form use filters to select the required products, specify the calculation method (for example, «from purchase price» or «from equivalent price»), choose the required rate («today only» or «nearest»), and click the «Refresh (F5)» button. The program will recalculate the new values, after which you will only need to click the «Set Retail Price» button (or «Set Wholesale Price», or «Set Retail and Wholesale Price») so that the changes take effect immediately and update in stock status.
«How can I change the price for products in only one warehouse so that it does not change in others?».
— To change the price of products in only one warehouse without affecting others, you need to disable global price synchronization or configure exceptions for a specific store. To completely disable synchronization, go to the «Settings» — «Parameters» menu — the «Retail Network» tab and uncheck the «Maintain identical prices at all retail locations» parameter. After making changes in the «Parameters» form, you must обязательно restart the Torgsoft program. If you want to keep synchronization for most warehouses but make an exception for one, go to «Settings» — «Retail Network», select the required accounting center (store), click «Edit», go to the «Settings» tab, and uncheck «Allow price synchronization with the center».
II. Questions about control and error correction
«How can I find out who changed the price of a product and when?»
— To find out who changed the selling price of a product and when, the most convenient way is to use the special form in the Torgsoft program — «Inventory» – «Sales Price Changes». This section displays detailed information about all changes to retail and wholesale prices for the selected period by accounting center. After opening this form, you will be able to find a specific product and see exactly when and by which program user its selling price was changed.
— If you are interested in the history of price changes only for one specific item, you can check it directly through the stock status window. To do this, go to the «Inventory» – «Stock Status» menu, select the required product, click the «Product Sale Conditions» button, and choose the «Price and Discount Change History» option. This mode will allow you to clearly view the entire chronology of price changes and discounts set for the selected product for the entire period of record-keeping in the program.
— Bulk selling price changes are recorded in the «Document» – «Revaluation Log» menu and directly in the «Revaluation Acts» (if the revaluation was carried out specifically via the "Revaluation Act" mode), which store the history of preparation and application of new prices, including the act number, performer, date, and comments.
«How can I undo/cancel a product revaluation if it was done by mistake?».
— To cancel an erroneous product revaluation, the most convenient way is to use the main menu item «Inventory» — «Sales Price Changes». In this window, all products are sorted by the date of price change, so you can easily find the required item or group of products, select them, and click the «Cancel Price Change» button, after which the previous selling price values will be restored. In addition, as an alternative option, you can simply edit the price back to the previous one manually directly in the product card in the «Stock Status» form. If the price change work was carried out via the "Revaluation Act", then in the "Document" - "Revaluation Act" form you can select the applied act and click the "Cancel Revaluation" button.
