The «F1 Stock Status» form is available after activating the «F1–F2 Inventory Accounting» option. It allows you to view separately the quantity of goods accounted for in the F1 format.
If the form takes a long time to open, first check the F1 stock collection method. Torgsoft provides two methods: dynamic and static. For faster operation, the Torgsoft help recommends the static method.
What is the stock collection method
The collection method determines how Torgsoft generates current data on product quantities.
Two options are available in the settings:
-
Dynamic. The program generates the current stock status based on warehouse documents during calculation. This method requires more time to process the data.
-
Static. Torgsoft stores the stock status in a separate table and updates it when working with warehouse documents. This allows the program to generate the stock status much faster.
The «F1–F2 Inventory Accounting» option uses a separate «F1 Stock Collection Method» setting. The Torgsoft help recommends the static method for it.
The difference may be especially noticeable in databases where a large number of products and warehouse documents have accumulated over a long period. There is no specific number of products after which you must switch to the static method.
How to enable the static method for F1 stock
Open: Settings → Parameters → Warehouse. Find the «F1 Stock Collection Method» field and select: Static. Then click «Save».
According to the help, restarting Torgsoft is not required for this setting to take effect.

Why the static method works faster
With the static method, Torgsoft stores the current stock status in a separate table. The program uses already generated data and updates it when working with warehouse documents.
With the dynamic method, the current status has to be calculated based on documents. The more data accumulated in the database, the more time this operation may require.
That is why the static method is intended for situations where generating the stock status begins to affect performance.

Static method and stock balance accuracy
Switching to the static method changes the way the stock status is generated. It does not change receipt invoices, sales, write-offs or other inventory movement documents.
At the same time, it is important to consider a specific feature of static accounting: after editing previously created warehouse documents, you need to check whether the quantities are still up to date.
For the standard «Stock Status» form, Torgsoft provides the «Recalculate Quantity» command. It is available with the static method and allows you to recalculate:
-
for selected products;
-
for the current warehouse;
-
for all warehouses.
This tool applies to the standard «Stock Status». It should not automatically be used as a way to correct data in «F1 Stock Status»: this form has its own accounting logic.
If the problem is with the F1 quantity
Slow form performance and an incorrect product quantity are two different problems. Changing the collection method is intended to improve performance.
For situations where you need to correct the quantity specifically in «F1 Stock Status», Torgsoft provides a separate tool.
In the «F1 Stock Status» form:
-
Select the required product.
-
Press Ctrl + Shift + Alt + E using the English keyboard layout.
-
The «Change Product Quantity for F1 Stock» form will open.
-
Enter the required quantity.
-
Click «Save».
Torgsoft stores information about such adjustments. In the log, you can see the date and time of the change, the quantity before and after the adjustment, and the user who performed the operation.
Manual adjustment should be used only after identifying the reason for the discrepancy. It is not intended to speed up the form.
When changing the collection method will not solve the problem
The static method helps specifically when the delay is related to generating the stock status.
If the entire program is slow, other factors may be responsible: the state of the database, indexes, server load, network connection or other operations being performed at that moment. In such a situation, the overall performance of Torgsoft needs to be diagnosed.
You should separately check situations where a discrepancy in «F1 Stock Status» appeared after an internal transfer of goods between accounting centers. The option has separate restrictions for such operations. Switching from the dynamic method to the static method does not eliminate this discrepancy.
What to check if «F1 Stock Status» takes a long time to open
Follow these steps:
-
Open Settings → Parameters → Warehouse.
-
Check the «F1 Stock Collection Method».
-
If the dynamic method is used, select «Static» and save the setting.
-
Check the opening speed of «F1 Stock Status» again.
-
If the delay remains, check whether only this form is slow or Torgsoft as a whole.
-
If the problem concerns the F1 quantity, first identify the reason for the discrepancy. Do not use manual adjustment as a way to solve a performance problem.
